Donate your old tack, rugs and equipment to help horses in need
HorseWorld are appealing to horse owners to donate their unwanted tack, rugs and equipment. The Bristol-based charity in Whitchurch is responsible for the care of nearly 500 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.
“Most of the animals in our care have come from backgrounds of cruelty and neglect; we aim to give them the safe and happy futures they deserve.” said Welfare Manager, Jerry Watkins. “It can be expensive for the charity to buy the rugs, tack and equipment we need for these animals so we are grateful for any donations we receive”
So what happens to the equipment that is surplus to the needs of HorseWorld's animals? HorseWorld has an on-site charity tack shop open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am till 2pm.

Debbie Walsh who runs the shop explains, “We are very lucky to have supporters that donate tack and rugs to us, any that we cannot use for our rescued horses will be sold in the tack shop to raise funds for the charity. It means that every single donation will benefit the animals in one way or another.”
