The trouble with Treacle!
Dear Readers,
I hope you enjoyed the Easter Break and made the most of the time off. Talking of breaks, I have now had the plaster ‘sawed’ off my arm following my fall on my ice skating attempt only to reveal a big fat hairy swollen looking monster.
It does resemble a juicy looking bone, and 'fair play' to Treacle our rescue puppy who understandably wagged her tail and salivated each time she looked at it and tried to chew it. Treacle has been up to her antics again folks. Here are yet again a few things you should not do with Treacle about!!
The hospital gave me an exercise sheet for my hand which I pinned up on our notice board. This involved lots of painful positions that shouldn't be done without a hanky to mop up the tears! 'Elbows on table, hands in prayer mode and slide elbows out as far as you can and repeat.' Not wishing to be left out Treacle interrupts and repeatedly drops her ball on my lap. Day two of physio and exercise sheet found in Treacle’s bed shredded into many pieces!
Never go caravanning with 3 young kids and two dogs if you want to keep your sanity. When putting up a new awning with a rather complicated diagram of instructions and lots of poles with children standing in each corner of the awning as temporary supports and grumpy adults it is best not to do it on a very windy day when Treacle runs off with the groundsheet. Make sure you buy enough tent pegs to secure awning all the way around so Treacle doesn’t escape at dawn and go on a walk about to wake up other campers in field.

Do not try reading a book laying comfortably under a tree whilst the rest of family and other 'well behaved dog' go fishing refusing to take puppy. Long lead secured with tent peg and the leftovers from an over chewed tennis ball you would think Treacle would maybe just settle down after much exercise. I only got to page 3 because she decided it would be fun to drop her ball on my head or in my book so I kept throwing it blindly behind me as she retrieved it. I decided to ignore her so she took to nudging me to get my attention. Giving in I tried to pick up the ball from behind me, raised my head just as she head butted me by mistake and gave me a black eye!!!
