The Whole Horse Weekend in aid of HorseWorld
25th - 26th June 2011
Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery, Brecon LD3 9LN
On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery are holding The Whole Horse Weekend in aid of HorseWorld. This is a weekend of demonstrations, stalls, a dog show and lots, lots more.

This year’s Welsh National Horse Agility Championships are also being held over the weekend and horse owners will also have a chance to have a go with their own horses. Organiser Nick Sanders explains “This is going to be a great fun weekend. Demonstrations will include clicker training, saddlechariots, equine physio and massage, dog behaviour, shiatsu and much more. Camping is available and there will also be a party around the fire on the Saturday night with live music. Come along for a great time and support a leading equine welfare charity” Camping to be booked in advance by calling Nick on 07870 765018.
HorseWorld will also be there to talk about their rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work and will bring several of their ponies along for you to meet. The equine welfare charity is responsible for the care of nearly 500 equines. They currently care for 140 horses, ponies and donkeys on HorseWorld’s two adjacent farms in Bristol. Many of these are in various stages of rehabilitation. There are a further 300 animals placed in carefully monitored loan homes in and around the South-West.
HorseWorld’s Fundraising and Communications Assistant, Amy Punter
has rehomed a rescued HorseWorld pony and will be bringing him along to The Whole Horse Weekend to show how rewarding it can be to work with a rescued animal. “We are grateful to Nick and his wifePam for organising
this event to
benefit HorseWorld. Every penny raised for the charity will help to give neglected, abused and unwanted animals the chance for a safe and happy future”

Information about HorseWorld
HorseWorld rescues horses, ponies and donkeys that have been abandoned, mistreated and neglected. The charity is often the only lifeline to animals that have been treated so cruelly that they have given up hope of a life that is free from pain and suffering. Each animal that is rescued is nursed back to health and wherever possible, rehomed so they can have a second chance at life.
HorseWorld is responsible for the care of nearly 500 equines, giving them the safe and happy futures they deserve, free from pain or neglect.
The Visitor Centre plays an important role, allowing the public to meet some of the recovered animals and learn about animal welfare. It is home to rescued horses, donkeys, hens, ducks, goats, ferrets and Portia the pot-bellied pig. Funds raised from the Visitor Centre help support the charity’s vital rescue work.
HorseWorld have recently launched a new membership scheme which starts at just £17.50 allowing an adult and up to 3 children unlimited repeat visits for an entire year - making them the best value day out in the South-West.
Information about Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery
Rowanoak Learning Centre and Livery is based in the Brecon Beacons with its tranquillity, fresh air and spectacular views. It is owned and run by Nick and Pam Sanders who have transformed the farm into a purpose built centre for learning about and keeping horses naturally. The large chicken shed has been converted into an indoor school with a lecture room and a round pen has been erected for training. This enables them to hold courses, workshops, clinics and demonstrations all on one yard with access to their own horses plus horses visiting for therapy, training or rehabilitation.
