Treacle’s Antics
With Halloween, November 5th and (dare I say it) Christmas on its way, there will be fireworks! These may be enjoyable for some humans although I have to say I 'm just a 'sparkler' person. As you are all animal lovers it is time to make sure our pets are safe and protected from the terrifyingscreeches and explosions. See out 'Howloween' feature inside this issue (download for free)
Treacle our rescue puppy from the Border Collie Trust has yet to hear a firework go off. She is a nervous little dog at the best of times. When I blend soup she barks at the blender until I turn it off and as I am in such a hurry to stop this noise she hates, no wonder my soup is sometimes lumpy!
When I put a saucepan on the stove Treacle barks at the sizzling noise too. And I only have to get the vacuum cleaner out and she takes one look at it and hides under the table! Treacle is still very naughty and like a child demanding attention at all times, particularly when I am on the phone. The other day when I was making a business call (sorry to my client who heard me scream) she bit my bum!!
